I have search and looked through as many topics as I could, but I am still confused. I have an avi video that is supposed to be 25fps according to the AVICodec. I found out from this board that this means it is a PAL format. My DVD player will NOT play PAL (I checked the manual, and the remote for settings). I know it is very difficult to convert PAL to NTSC, so I wondered if any other settings in TMPGEnc would make the video less jerky???
For example, could I burn it at 23fps instead??? What do the words telecline, progressive, and interlaced mean? And also, what is a "pulldown"? Could changing any of these settings help with the problem? I don't need the video to be perfect, just less jerky than it is now.
Any help would be appreciated.![]()
