  1. Over the past 18 months I must have converted over 300 VHS tapes to DVDR, made many "Best of" DVDs of my favorite TV shows, even converted home movies for friends, made copies of my favorite retail DVDs. Nothing left to Burn to DVD anymore. Well at least I can say I got my moneys worth from the equipment

Anyone else going thru "Post-Conversion depression."

No, I think I'll never will finnish all of my planned conversions and if I do there is always new TV-shows to capture and new home videos to convert...

I'll guess if you or your friends will have more children then they will use their camcorder a lot. So it's time to make children! But since I got my child I have almost no time left to make any conversions to DVD...

Either way, you'll get something to do.

Buy a video store, and make a backup copy of every single movie there. That'll keep you busy!

  4. "Post-Conversion depression"

I know the feeling. I cure it by watching a decent new dvd box set. The problem is after I've watched all the episodes back-to-back I suffer from Post-Box-set Depression. :/

Can I borrow some money to buy the Video store...

Actually I used to have a collection of about 1000 VHS movies (many recorded off HBO or such), but when I sat down and thought "Do I really need to have this movie on DVD" or the movie was already on DVD (with DVD PQ and special featutes) some movies did not need to be converted. There were way too many movies that just didn't need to be preserved for another 20 years...

  7. I have a friend who is constantly making copies of DVDs from netflix, I suspect that if he didn't have a DVD printer to make a copy with the fancy graphics on the DVD, I doubt he would be copying anything

You two sound like conversion experts. Have you written any guides? I'm curious as to what methods worked best for you. What equipment and capture stats. Thanks.
