I know that when you straight copy a dat file off (S)Vcd under windows
it will add a RIFF header to the file. Althought I've renamed and played
these just fine, I was wondering what problems would occur if you don't
strip the RIFF header off. Problems reburning to (S)VCD ? Problems editing?
Also, when you do the same (straight copy) vob files off DVD, does a RIFF
header get added to them as well or only dat files? And since the vob files
were not 'ripped' and decoded with keys, what problems if any would you
have when reburning (another protected DVD, problems editing, etc).
Flame at will and thanks in advance!
