  1. Hello,
    I am a newbie to all of this and have ben building my knowledge of all of this information slowly, but i have come to a stand still when i try to encode my AVI with TMPGEnc, I have decompressed the audio in Virtualdub and that still hasnt worked either, is there any solution?

    Load the video into Gold Wave and make sure it is there. If it is, save it as a wave file and mux it normally.

  3. I am a complete newbie to all of this, i have been trying to make DVDs for over 2 months now but a problem after problem keeps occuring, could you help me on DVDs or are you only experienced in VCDs and encoding?

  4. Try to be more specific about your problem. Like whether you have problems with the AC3 avi or something. In your first post, you mentioned about having problems encoding your audio, but you did not mentioned whether the avi is AC3 or not.

  5. I originally started by trying to make DVDs, but i could never get the hang of it so i tried to make a VCD, i am really looking for help on how to make a DVD. I have many AVI files which i wud like to get onto DVD+R, I used to convert the files into DVD with TMPGEnc but the file was over 4.7GB when it waz finished, is there any other way of converting AVI to DVD or do i have to somehow shrink the file?

  6. I think you need to do some reading. I suggest you Start here .

    Pick a guide that fits your situation and try it. When you run into problems, come back and ask a specific question, giving as much detail as you can about what you have done so far, what has gone wrong and what is your starting point (source files details). Then perhaps someone can help.
