  1. I have 2 originals of this DVD and get the same result for both (and it is the only DVD that I have a problem with!). Firstly I used DVDBackup, then in DVD2OneX...with just a very few seconds left...it conked out with two DVD2oneX messages, one saying "Error adjusting the IFO file. It does not match with the VOB file." and the other one saying "For full diskcopy you need to copy all files from the DVD in file mode." Since these are both NEW DVDs and since this is the only one I have a problem with, I suspect I may have to live with not being able to back this one up....unless, that is, someone here has a solution....??? Thanks for any help or advice, or even concurrence that there's nothing I can do further. Is there an alternative, preferably a cheap or free alternative, to DVD2oneX that I can use on my Mac (Panther)?

its not dvd2one that has the problem... its the ripper.

Typically these messages appear when the dvd is not ripped in all its glory

did you get any errors duirng DVDBackup 1.3?

    if not try
OSeX with it set to FMT DVD_FOLDER

if that also gives the same error your last and final option is to use the
    HADES ripper

Repeat the dvd2one process on both of these ripped folders and keep your fingers crossed.

Which dvd is it may I ask!

  3. Fitzcarraldo - a wonderful film that, I maintain, would have won many Academy Awards had it been in English instead of German. I got another original recently, probably because I tried using OSEx and it didn't work either. But I'll try it again and then with Hades. I'm also having trouble with side 2 of the Lonesome Dove 6-hr.-2-sided disc. I should shortly get my second copy of that one too...I seem to recall using all of these programs -- DVDBackup, OSEx, Hades and even the Classic app DVDExtractor 0.9b -- and nothing worked on that one but (it's been a while) there the problem was just getting it backed up (i.e. I never got to the DVD2oneX stage). I will post a reply to both of these discs as I test the options....Thanks for the help.
