  1. I was converting a mpeg2 (VOB) to an .avi in VirtualDub Mod. When I picked my compression, the first time I picked "Uncompressed RGB", and then a second time around, I picked huffyuv 2.1.1.

Now the quality of each looks the same, but the uncompressed is WAY larger. Since huffyuv is a lossless conversion, I figured it would be the same size (or close to) the uncompressed avi.

Can someone clue me in on this. What the difference of the two are, and which is best? ...trying to keep as much quality as possible.

    Thank you.

huffyuv is visually lossless (in rgb mode) - and has very low compression.

    uncompressed is "uncompressed" ..

they both would produce excellent quality ... you can't really tell the difference (if any) ..
