    My Philips dvd+rw228 collapse a few weeks ago, but guarantee gave me a new LG GSA-4040B DVD±RW/RAM burner. That seem to have been a good exchange to me!

    I got the LG burner today and it was patch with firmware a109. Is there any newer firmware out or is this the latest one?

    Check out: http://gb.lgservice.com

    Under "Device Driver" - "CD-RW" (i know it isn't a CD-RW but that is where is located) and you will see a list of the available firmware.

    Yes, after some reading I found out that the a3.02 should be the latest firmware. But this a109 that my burner have is not even mentioed, wonder what kind of firmware I have?

    I also find out that nero and recordnow max can't find the burner however it works fine with dvddecryptor. How should get it to work with nero and stomp, any solutions?

    I don't know about Record Now Max but the Deluxe version works with the 4040b as well as the latest Nero.
