I have the JVC DR-M1 since a few weeks. I'm very satisfied with it, but I have one annoying problem. When I try to display photos on my TV, using the slide show functionality on the recorder, some photos are displayed without any problems, others aren't. In the latter case, I get a black screen with an error (something like 'file damaged or not all info could be retreived'). The photos that don't display properly are all taken in portrait format, the ones taken in landscape format display correctly.

I have no problems when displaying the photos on my computer (both portrait and landscape), although I did have to rotate the portrait photos , so that they could be displayed correctly on screen.

My questions: does anyone know whether I can solve this, or is it just impossible to display rotated photos in portrait format (can't this machine handle this format??). Is there maybe a way to save/rework the portrait photos in a way that this machine can handle it correctly??

One of the main reasons for buying this machine was to be able to display my digital photos on TV. Therefor it would be great if someone could help me out here ...
