  1. i have a athlon xp 2000 in one of my computers and i wanna get more ram but i wanna get pc2700 (on sale ) but i think the 2000 suppose to take pc2100....... well my question is will it cause any conflicts or troubles in my system ?????????

  2. Should not pose a problem what-so-ever. You will just be running your RAM at a lower speed than it is certified to run. Besides -- the CPU does not really determin compatibility (assuming that the RAM is at least certified/rated to the CPU fsb speed). Compatibiity is really a function of the motherboard. Either way you are probably fine - as a BIOS update would resolve it if needed.

    PC-2700 = 333MHz (166x2)
    PC-2100 = 266MHz (133x2)

  3. Why not go for PC3200 RAM so you can transfer it to a new PC if you upgrade? It should still work no problem, and it's only a few quid more expensive.
