  1. I seen several guides on this site to backup a DVD-9 to two DVD-Rs? What is the most widley used method and/or the best method. Currently I use DVD Shrink 3.1.x and get farily good results. On long movies on the big screen the quality starts to suffer and I would like to try to split a few of the titles that are approaching the 2.5-3 hour time frame.

DVD X Copy costs money but it will make an exact copy spread out over 2 dvds. Very easy. I bought it before I learned of the software that's out there for free. I plan on using it for discs that I want an exact copy of. Otherwise, I use DVD Decrypter and DVD shrink.

I am yet to make an exact copy of a disc with DVD X Copy (split into 2 discs). I don't have any discs that are worth it. Obviously the time is going to vary depending on the size of movie, processor speed, writer speed, etc..
