How to make a computer very slow... ?

Does anyone know how to make a computer slow?

And I dont want to have to load up millions of programs for it to slow down.

I simply want it to be very very very slow and lag very badly even when no resources are being used.

Please, if anyone know how to do it let me know. Thanks

swap out the ram chip for a 32 mb one, or less if available

Underclock it in the bios. You should be able to reduce the FSB speed and possibly the multiplier factor also. (and yes I am wondering)

I once made the entire C drive read only. That made starting up anything pretty slow.

Disable the cache in the bios.

Install windows

disable swap file
remove some memory (if more than 1 stick)
disable dma to your drives in the bios and windows
if xp set visual effects to all
underclock
uninstall your video card and set it up as VGA
turn your mouse speed down
install norton antivirus
fill your hdd up
install a bunch of fonts (like 850)

Im gonna try alot of this stuff tonight. the only thing i wont do is take out ram because then my brother will know somebody messed with his PC.

run winzip and zip drive C as many times as it takes to get the free space down to about 1/2G. Right click those zip files and set them "Hidden" and "Read Only". Name them something like 'win_0132.dll' and hide them in his windows\system32 folder.

Go and turn off the swap file and disable DMA for hard drives. That should do it. Even is he tries to get back his free space he won't delete those dll files. haha
