  1. Written in pigeon English which is the first give away (do you think that should say indicted rather than indicated ), the ip address quoted is from Taiwan so obviously is not my ip address (explains the pigeon English), and why would the FBI send a warning like this to a UK user. Oh well, I bet its put the willies up a few people though.

  3. How computer savy is he, because you can easily change the displayed user name for the email account. If he opens the message up fully though it will still show the email address. Although I think you can change what email address is displayed also, don't know how though.

  8. The real kicker is that the FBI has no jurisdiction over in England, at least not with cooperation with the British government!!!

Not to mention even if it WAS possible to get all your computer files so easily, that is illegal search and seizure.

Much simpler than that. In outlook click on tools then accounts. Select your account and click on properties. Then under user information change the name. Just remember to change it back when you have finished with your high jinx

  10. I use a program called Hidden Sender for things like this. It allows you to falsify the sender address and the reply to address.

I got one of them emails, it was such a bad fake that anyone would think a child was responsible for it. Hotmail's junk mail filter picked it up and trashed it so I can't get to the attachment. What was it, a virus?

  11. Yes NAV automatically quarantined the attachment which had the W32.sober.C@mm virus.

This was contained in the so called reference code referred to in the text.

  16. It's also useful for use in flooding spammer's inboxes. I might do it now actually to that email address on the email.

  20. One of my favourite tricks to do to a friend is send them thousands of emails each with an attachment of about 100kb. Floods their email and stops real email coming in.

    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Yeah, it is kind of sickening... but then we wouldn't have tools to fight back either.

Lots of mail bombers if you look around... HTTP proxies, SOCKS proxies, SNMP/POP3 proxies, it's all available if you look hard enough.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
