  1. What's the best way to create a VCD id all you have is the .DAT file? Is there a way to convert the .DAT file into an .MPG? I tried using EZ Creator 5 and simply selecting the .DAT file. It burned the VCD with no problem, however it put the new .DAT file into the wrong folder. It put it into the SEGMENT folder. Will this VCD still play in a DVD player, even thought the file is in the SEGMENT folder?

    Convert the .dat to .mpg with vcdgearGUI.

    i use a tool called vcdgear to convert from DAT to MPEG. you could also just rename the *.DAT file to a *.MPG file then try burning it to VCD...
