  1. I love this new version, I always used version 2. There are many improvements and really nice are the motion menus.

    Only one thing:
If you use motion in your menu, it always starts at the beginning of the clip, which is often black, text, etc.
I want to select a part somewhere in the middle of the clip, but how?
Is there a way to do this?

Also very nice in version 3, if you add a couple of videos to your project and one is not a compliant mpeg (for example other dimensions) it will only re-encode that clip an leaves the compliant untouched, where in version 2 it would re-encode all clips (as far as I know).

  2. I love this new version, too.

For my videos, I just edit the mark-in point to be the first full frame of the clip, rather than the blank frames just before it, and that gives you MUCH better looking motion menus.

Does that cause it to re-encode the video?

  4. No, it says 'converting video title' and it estimates about twice the final space it will need, but it goes fast and works out great. Clearly not enough time for any encoding, that's for sure.

Well, it might be encoding again. How long does it take per minute of video? ALSO it might be changing the audio to a non compressed form? I noticed that the audio I add in 2 for each menu really takes up alot of space.

  6. The time from hitting the output button to finished ISO was maybe 5 minutes for a 50 minute video. No way in hell it encoded much, although it might be smart enough to limit itself to re-encoding right around any edited areas only.

Either way, it works for me.
