  2. I'm afraid I ditched DVDx for that reason. I like Gordian Knot - click the red name for the software. You'll need to download and install the codec pack then the rip pack.

Here's a guide for using it:

    http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/dvd2divx5_gordianknot.html

It's a very powerful piece of software, and it'll make a fine job of your DivX.

    Hope this helps,

You can also frameserve from DVDx to tmpgenc and use the templates in the tools section to make a 1 or 2 cd movie according to your choice of templates. IN a nutshell, run what looks like a normal dvdx session but in the ouput window of DVDx make sure the premiere plugin is set to video server and click on the plug settings. Set a name for either the fake avi or avs script file. Start the DVDx session and plugin panel will show, start that and the frame counts will stay at zero leave all windows open and next start Tmpgenc (you can can the wizard) and load the template of your choice, use the file name of the fake avi or avs file as input. Once all the tmpgenc settings are to your satisfaction then start the tmpgenc session and the watch all the windows. DVDx will feed the movie to the plugin the plugin reads and passes the frames to tmpgenc and the encoder creates your vcd/svcd or DVD whatever your tmpgenc settings are.

  4. Also, when using DVDx, you can control how the encoding is split by changing the settings in the "Volume don't exceed" drop-down in "Output Settings"

This is from the following guide:

  5. As elkfir said just set "volume don't exceed" to "Infinite".
