  1. I have two films of 1 hr 16 mins and the other of 1 hr 6 mins on a DVD-r. I'm looking to rip them both from the original DVD edit out any commercials and then re-combine the two films into one long film then burn it back onto a DVD. The question is how do I do this and which tools are the best to use? Hopefully I'm looking to use TMPGenc to re-encode the files into mpeg2 for the DVD authoring process but I dont know how to extract the two films and then splice them together.

    Thanks in advance

I found a thread which addresses your question. It involves ripping the DVD's, re-authoring and then compressing to fit a DVD-R. Look here, and ignore some of it but there's a really good post which tells you just how to do it.
