  3. HAVE YOU GOT THE LATEST VERSION OF FIRMWARE FOR YOUR DRIVE AS THIS OFTEN OVER COMES PROBLEMS WITH MEDIA USE THIS LINKhttp://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION FOR YOUR MAKE OF DVD WRITER
BUT READ THE INSTALATION INSTRUCTION BEFORE APPLY TO YOUR DRIVE
I SUGEST YOUR PRINT IT OUT AND READ CAREFULLY THEN DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE YOU REQUIRE
AND THEN FLASH YOUR DRIVE BUT MAKE SURE THIS IS DONE CORRECT AS IF NOT DONE CORRECT CAN DAMAGE YOUR DRIVE IF UNSURE ASK SOMEONE LOCAL WHO YOU KNOW IS A ADVANCE USER

I DID THIS WITH MY DVD WRITER AND IT SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS WITH MEDIA
    HOPE THIS HELPS

I don't think so, providing you use an official source for it.

  10. i downloaded the latest firmware from liteon but need the info how to install

  11. It should have come with that info.

pce's are common, they indicate you are going way too fast, write at 1x & see if that works. also firmware/media updates but come on, its been discussed in the forum alot the answers are the same. Every manf's web site says the same things too.
