Sorry if this doesnt belong here, I scratched my head for awhile about where this question belongs.
I have some DV I recorded from VHS with my Canopus. Using the guides and this forum I've learned how to turn the Digital Video into DVDs. Works great.
But I also want to make some short clips of the video to put up on my website. What's the best format for web viewing? I've narrowed it down to MPG, AVI, or WMV. WMV seems to be the easiest and provide good quality/compression, but is it supported by Macs?
I'm looking for something that gives me reasonable quality and size files (30 second clips), but also easily viewable by a wide range of web users.
Thanks
Mike

-Decent quality /size when codec is chosen carefully
Try sorenson 3 for a start and go from there
