    Is there a difference between PICVideo MJPEG compressor and PICVideo MJPEG codec? I see that the codec can be configured. So which one should I use? And what are all those other PICVideo things for?

    I wondered that myself. All I know is, PICvideo MJPEG codec would not work with my old capture setup. I had to use PICvideo MJPEG Compressor.

    Codec is short for Compressor/Decompressor. One does both the other only does one.

    If I select compressor, there is no screen to change settings as there is with the codec selection.
