    This drive has been out for a while. I wonder if it is a rebadged burner made from another manufacturer? Is any information available on this drive. It seems like it come with Nero 6.

    Did some more searching on this. judging by the version of their firmware, 0054, I think it is a BTC.

    It is a BTC, I have a 1004IM and have flash it to the creative drive and it worked fine. I did not try to write at 8X as it supports only two type of media at 8X and they are ones that I have never heard of.
