I put in a dvd thats small enough that doesnt require any shrinking at all. I then deleted the foreign languages anyway, and then BACKUP. I selected it to backup the temp files to:

    F:/dvd/video_ts

and then I get this error message... what does this mean?

DVD Shrink encountered and error and cannot continue... Programming error-exception occured... Overlapped I/O operation is in progress

    please help...!!!! thanks

You don't need a Nero Demo. You also don't need to let DVDShrink burn for you.
It's a good idea to check your backup from your harddrive before you burn it. This saves coasters and lets you test your work. Try it that way until you are comfortable with the process.

After that, you burn as DVD video. Put everything in the target VIDEO_TS folder into the Nero VIDEO_TS folder. Don't put 1 VIDEO_TS folder into another, that won't work

    Gotta be a Nero problem....

Sorry...you need to stop mentioning Nero in your post though. DVD Shrink's inability to rip your DVD correctly has NOTHING to do with Nero.
One problem at a time please.

  7. you might try DVD Decrypter to rip the dvd to your HD. If you get the same error message during the rip then you may have a defect in the dvd itself. If it rips, you may then be able to back-up with dvdshrink.
