  1. I have been backing up some of my dvdr's to another disks just using the disk to disk feature in Roxio. I was just wondering if I burn a image to my harddrive and then burn the image to another disk will it be faster in the long run? Meaning if I decide to back another copy of the image, would it be faster then copying from disk to disk? This would allow me to not have to handle my disks all the time to make backups. I have a 8x plextor. It works great. This maybe a stupid question, because I can burn pretty fast now.

  2. Disk to Disk copy can be hazardous anyway. The source drive needs to read approx twice the speed of the destination (burner) drive for saftey. So if you are burning at 8x, yous source drive needs to be able to read at 16x. So just for safety, and certainly if making multiple copies, you should copy the source DVD to your HD.
