    It depends on what type of mpeg you have. Is it mpeg1 or mpeg 2?

    A DVD is already in MPEG (2) format. Why don't you go into a little more depth and describe your existing MPEG file? Resolution? Audio sample rate? That's just two things right off the top of my head....
