okay , i have a movie that is divx with ac3 audio, i want to convert to mpeg2 for a dvd with the ac3 still being used, what is the best way to convert the audio??? When i go to convert in tmpeg it says the audio will be a wav file, not ac3??? any help is greatly appreciated

Basically you use the ac3 as is and use TMPGenc for the video only, here's a guide.

ok when i put the ac3 file in bslice to correc it, it dosent do anything but open up notepad !!! with some specs from a old moive i tried a long time ago

You could just try skip the beslice step. It usually works fine anyway.

use virtualdubmod to demux the ac3 track and leave as is.
