  1. hello
Many PAL users reported problems with timeline playback. Stutters, dropped frames, no smooth playback from the timeline. The strange thing was that this only happened when playing back stuff from the timeline. When viewing the same clips in the source monitor, they played fine. Put on the timeline, they had stutters and jerky playback.

Where can i get new plugins for premiere 6.0?
(i cant install the premiere 6.1 update)

hi, I have the problem like you (hate premiere 6.0, still using premiere 5.0), but i couldn't find plugins either, someone told me that you just need to installe programs like: convert avi into mpg or something like that. when you install those programs you have the plugins and premiere should use, but I'm not really sure if this works, just try it. You get those programs on: http://www.divx-digest.com

Try zooming out on the timeline. It worked for me. It also helps if you use a dedeicated hard drive just for your video.

  4. Hello, I've been an avid Premiere user since like 4.0, and 5.0 has so far been my fave since I have been running into TONS of problems with 6.0.
I can't get the transitions to align right and work properly, the wave forms disappear for the audio, the tracks move around, blah. (blah = pain)

If no one replies to my post in two days, I'm reverting back to 5.0 totally. 6.0 has been nothing but frustrating for me.

Ok, to get back to your question:
When you export, is the video still jerky?
Try converting the video to a lower quality version for editing, then replace the LQ version with the HQ for the export.
I had jery video while watching off the timeline with my old video card, but with my GeForce II it plays out fine.

Now in reference to the plug-ins, if you have Adobe Photoshop, just dump the plug-ins it has into your Premiere plug-ins folder and you can use about 70% of them. Pretty cool.

My Panasonic Encoder plug-in for Premiere 4.x still works with Premiere 6.0 (too tight to buy the latest one, LoL).

    Now for MY problem:
    * If any of you have mastered how to use TRANSITIONS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME or POST and LET ME KNOW!!! *

I'm not sure I understand your question. I think by your post that you have a lot more experience then I do using Premiere. I have used Premiere 6 ever since I started editing but this has only been since March. I also found that the single track editing works better for me. As far as transitions go I have not had much problems with them. The only thing I get on a regular basis is that the amount of source material form a clip is insufficient annd it has to convert it to 30 frames. Oh and I am using a Pinnacle DV500 Plus with Adobe. Now a question for you. What did you mean when you said that you could dump all your Photshop plugins in Premiere? Also do you or does anyone have any experience using After Effects. I don't know where to start.

Basically, if you're looking for more plugins, you can ACTUALLY use those that are used for Photoshop. Around 70% of them will work. Just copy them from the Photoshop plugins folder into the premiere plugins folder. I was just fooling around, tried it, and surprisingly it worked.

Has anyone else her tried it? I dunno why I haven't mentioned it before.

Oh, and I'm not too experienced with After Effects, but I can do a few things in it. It's pretty cool.
