Hi,
I am new to DVD-AVI conversions. I just got my Archos 380, a digital video playback unit with an 80-Gig HD.
I would like to format my movies to take up as little space as possible (so I can fit as many as possible) while still being "TV Quality" -- i.e. watchable on a mid-size set by use of the video outputs.
These are the published playback capabilities of the Archos:
MPEG-4 SP with MP3 stereo sound
Resolution up to 640x368 @ 25 fps
AVI File formats XviD or DivX 4.0 & 5.0
So what resolution/fps/bitrate/codec would you experts recommend, and what is the easiest to use encoder for doing that? I've downloaded DVDshrink and Gordian Knot, but I am not sure if these are suitable to my application
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
