  1. what would be the most-likely reason? The MPEG-2 files I capped have perfect sync. The VOB's, played on WMP or burned and played on a standalone DVD player, do not.

I was suspecting it had something to do with my slow computer speed (P3 750) but one confounding factor is that it appears that the longer the original MPEG-2 clip, the more likely sync is to be lost (whereas if I use shorter individual clips, sync is not lost).

    Ideas?

  2. I'm actually having the exact same problem. The audio is fine at the beginning, but looses sync about half way through.

I had this happen on the last disc I tried to author. It had 4 tracks, 3 were 18 minutes and the last was 40 and all 4 lose sync.

Hopefully someone else has experienced this and can give a solution.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm going to try a lower audio bitrate tonight. I was just reading-up on VHS quality and video capture bitrate and I might try a lower video capture bitrate, too (e.g., 4000 - 6000 VBR instead of 6000 - 8000 VBR which is what I was doing).

    I'll post about the results.
