  1. I can get anyone of these players (Daewoo S151, AMW V101, and Cyber Home DVD300) for $39. I would like to ask everyone’s opinion of which is best.
I believe from this forum that the AMW 101 is a clone of the Daewoo S150 (is this correct?).
I will be using DVD, VCD, DVD-R, DVD+RW.
Any input from anyone is greatly appreciated.

Also on a different topic, has anyone used a power inverter and put one of the in your car?

  2. Check this site's huge database of players and user reports:
    https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
(or you can just hit the big button over there on the left that says "dvd players - compatibility & user comments")

    Any other input?

  4. Well in that case...

I've heard nothing good from anyone about the Cyber Home players. They tend to overheat and quit in the middle of a movie. My brother's eventually fried from the heat and he trashed it 6 months after buying it. I don't think it was the exact same model you list, but I've heard similar reports from others, regardless of model. I've read similar reports here. Just "fair warning".

All I've heard about the AMW is that it will play everything the Apex players will, and then some. Unfortunately, I've heard that the video quality is below standard, but I've heard nothing that would prevent me from buying one. I understand they last longer than the Apex players, too.

All I know about daewoo is vhs. The vcr I have by Daewoo is pretty good, although loud... That doesn't really speak to the quality of their dvd players, though. The relationship you mention between AMW and Daewoo is the first I've heard. Don't know that it adds or detracts from the value of either player, though.

Hope that helps a little... I'm sure others will have stronger opinions. I LOVE my Pioneer dv250!!!
