    Hey All,
I need to reinstall my drive, but missing the driver for W2K. Does any one know where can I download it from?
The problem I have is very strange. The drive is registered in the device list and reported 'working properly', but windows explorer lost it. It happened after I installed w2k sp4 and latest upgrade to the Nero 5.5.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. Go to google, type in dis-appearing cd drives. You'll find instructions to fix it.

    Try this... http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=547
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

you could try listing it in the device list again and removing it, this way when you reboot it should reinstall it but I doubt this will fix it

I lost my drives one time and it was because I had installed Nero 6 along with Instantcopy 8. After uninstalling IC I lost all my drives as only my HD's showed in Explorer etc and not my actual CD/DVD's

I think this was one of the links I used but I'm not 100% sure as I think this was for writing issues , but missing drives was part of the problem also

:edit: it looks like it the same thing cim suggested in his link also
