Not smooth motion after conversion from TMPGENC??

Hi all,

Pls. help..........I try to use the TMPGENC v2.0 to convert a 4-minute AVI file into VCD format, but when I exam the output file, it is found that the motion is not smooth, and maybe pause for 0.5-1 second.

My HW. is AMD 1.2GHz, 40G ATA100 HD, with more than 1.4G free harddisk space in the data directory, 768M Byte RAM

Can any one tell me how to make the motion smooth after conversion??

Avoid converting 23.97fps or 24fps(film) to 25fps(pal) with TMPG. It just doubles the 24th frame, resulting in not-smooth motion.

Avoid using DIVX AVI's as a source. People often rape the motion to improve individual frame image quality and resolution.

Finally, increase motion search precision. I almost always use "highest quality".
