Shrink 3.1.2: re-author mode: no sound in preview

Sorry, I really shouldn't try fit everything in my subject line, but I can't bring myself to put (in caps) ....HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!
I used Shrink last night (v 3.1.2 I think) and used the re-author mode.
I had intended to just use themain movie but added a couple of extras in at the end of the movie.
When I clicked the preview button (bottom left of the screen) the main movie played fine, audio and all, but none of the extras had sound.
Once encoding/transcoding (term?) was complete I opened the files on my HDD using PowerDVD and sure enough the audio was all there for everything, but should I hear audio for the extras in author mode, did I check something/do something wrong or is this a characteristic of this great programme?
The DVD was my son's BTW, 'Ice Age'.

i'll find occasionally that when i hit the preview play button, there is no sound. usually this is because it is a DTS stream or something, but after backing it up the sound is always there. Don't worry about it unless you are just really annoyed by it. and you might want to update to the newest version of dvdshrink, see if that helps at all.

will_sickly_33+, right-clicking inside the preview window while a title is playing (or has just been selected) will give you access to a menu.
There, you will have the option to change the audio preview for this particular title.
