  1. I'm going to order in some of the Crystal Clear soon and possibly some of the Fixatif as well. I'll report my results in on those. I wish I could get the Triple-Thick but its not available through any of my suppliers. I'll have my new R300 here in a few days so i'm trying various things on some printed discs at work already.

Oh and also of note, every solvent based clear coat I've tried gives bad results so far. It tends to eat into the ink a bit. Shellac is the only one I've tried that hasn't done this so badly. the Krylon Acrylic I've tried doesn't have any effect on the ink, but its the all-purpose spray and it gives a very rough uneven finish.

  2. There is also a product that is used by photographers to spray coat photographs. It is made by Krylon and others. The can I have is called Krylon Matte Finish and I got it at Hobby Lobby. It has pictures of paint brushes on the front, and is in a 6oz can. It has a bar code number of 724504013211. It was $2.99 when I bought it about 5 years ago. It works great on large photographs.

By the way, I just bought an Epson R200 today and about to start printing. Is there anyone out there who wants to purchase my movie collection for the price of the DVD's? I'm going to redo everything on printable discs.

  3. I order some of the matte finish at work ( I work at a paint store) and tried it. Comes out kind of nasty IMO. I'll stick with crystal clear for now.
