  1. as a new comer to burning dvd's i am having BIG problems getting started.
For example, i have a file as follows :AUDIO FORMAT MPEG Layer-3,72 kBit/s, 44,100 Hz, Stereo
    VIDEO FORMAT 512 x 384, 24 Bits, 45533 Frames, 25.000 Frames/Sec, 116 KB/Sec, DivX codec : (fawlty towers 1/2 hr episode)
and i want to burn it to my dvd recorder, (tried using tmpgenc - ends up no sound etc.etc.) - countless problems for a novice as myself - dvdrhelp seems to be the place i will get answers, but need some guidance to start off with - any help greatly appreciated[/b]

just use the PAL dvd template in tmpgenc is a good start ...

make sure audio is converted to 48khz sample rate (tmpgenc should do this i believe in the dvd template)

load elements into your authoring program and go from there ..

when you say no sound - is this on playing the dvd or before (after encoding)?
