  6. FYI ...

PrintScreen: will capture the entire desktop.
Alt-Printscreen: will capture the current active window.

A difference that should be noted.

You can also try a very good program called SNAGIT.

  10. IF you want more than one screen at a time, and want them in jpeg/bmp/tiff format instead of on the clipboard, Screenhunter is free and great! It has timed shots, and custom prefixes on filenames.

  12. Please help me .I 've tried Print Screen ,snagit & screen hunter,to capture screen when I show the movie clip by realplayer or media player (i.e .rm, .wmv and .dat), but I could only capture the real/media player skin but not the movie image. I don't know what's going wrong...
Is there any software that I should install besides paint shop which comes with WindowXP Home Editon bundle.
    Your advice is most appreciated.Thanks.

  13. Your problem has to do with hardware acceleration and having it enabled or not. I forgot how you fix it but I'm sure someone here knows.

  15. i'm not sure if powerdvd will play wmv files, but .dat (i'm assuming vcd) can have frames captured through powerdvd.. just click the little camera icon. i believe by default it will capture the frame to the clipboard, but you can have it capture to a .bmp file if you mess with the settings in powerdvd.

Download this. Captura is a standalone EXE file. Download to your desktop, double-click on the icon, and you can save a section of the screen (or the whole screen after a short delay) in JPG format.
