i usually encode audio intoa WAV file, usually my downloads are 2 channel audio compressed with MPEG.
i have just downloaded a film with 5 channels with unknown compression (tag 2000). therefore i cannot encode audio or encode the film through TMPGenc.
is there anything i can do?

tag 2000 is AC3 if I'm thinking correctly. Use VirtualDubMod to save out the waves then use headache to fix them (not the correct terminology but that's what it does.) Encode, wash rinse repeat.

or install the ac3 acm decompressor and you can save to wav directly from virtualdub.
