  1. hello, i have a japanese divx, and i want to hardcode the subtitles right onto the movie. i've done this a few times before, and adding the subs is easy.

however, at 2 points in the movie (so far) virtual dub crashes, and spits out this error:

    Crash reason: Access Violation

    Crash context:
An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'DivX'...

    ...while decompressing video frame 62501 with "DivX Pro(tm) 5.1 Codec" [biCompression=30355844] (VideoSource.cpp:1480)...

    ...while running thread "Processing" (thread.cpp:90).

so right now i'm re encoding frames 0-62500 and 62502-end, and so on where any other errors happen. ya, dropped frames, . but if it works in the end, then great.

anyone have any advice on how to fix the video?

  2. oh yeah, i've tried to open the movie with and without an index (using divfix to strip the index).
    i've also downgraded divx.

maybe convert the whole thing to svcd with TMPEG? nope, it crashes with and error too.
