I found a cheapy nasty method to converting mpg1 to mpg2 files with dvd2svcd with cce instead of using tmpgenc which is really slow for doing that. The reason i encode up is to make pal mpg1 into ntsc mpg2 which is much easier doing it as ntsc film in mpg2.If anybody is interested just ask,if not no problem.

Ok,what i do first is load a short (ntsc)avi clip into dvd2svcd and let it get into the encode stage and then shut down dvd2svcd after encoding has started. Then get the mpg1 file and load that into virtualdub and frameserve it and name it the same as the avi file you were just encoding.then start up dvd2svcd and do a crash recovery with the frameserved avi file in place of the real avi file you were encoding. You can add in comments to the script for AssumeFPS(23.976) if you got edit as part of video encoding checked in the frameserver tab in dvd2svcd for pal mpg1 and if the original avi you used to start dvd2svcd has a wrong frame rate then dvd2svcd will automatically put in the AssumeFPS(23.976)
and also run pulldown on the file. You will just have to change the mp2 in besweet from 25fps to 23.976 manually afterwards.Hope this is easy enough to follow.
