I was just wondering if it is okay to use your computer while ripping a DVD. I know that when you use your computer while ripping an audio CD, it can create pops and skips. Is this also true for DVD ripping?

I use the computer all the time while ripping DVDs or CDs, and I never get any pops or skips. What you are likely hearing are scratches on the disc.
