Is tmpgenc the best program to join mpg files together ??

or are there any other really good ones, i ask because if i try and join svcd mpeg2 files together,once it gets to the swap point the audio drops miles out of sync, and when joining vcd mpeg1, it gets a squeak noise in the audio right on the join.

Or a program so that i can join the video with tmpgenc and join the audio separate with a different program.?

Tmpgenc is one of the good ones. Or you can join your movie clips with one of the movie joiners in the tools section. Look under Basic Video Editors. Hope this helps.
