  1. As i am a newbie to all this video stuff and want to learn to do things properly,i would like to know how i install codecs into virtualdub.Sorry if this sounds dumb,but if i don't do it right then i'm not going to learn the right way.Any and all help will be appreciated.

    Virtualdub(and its derivatives) utilizes the codecs that are installed on your system. It doesn't draw from its own pool of codecs. There are numerous codec packs that are available but it would be best if you installed the codecs you want individualy. Which codecs do you want?
