  1. Hey guys, I used TMPGEnc to encode a .avi to a dvd mpeg2 file. Then I used TMPGEnc author to turn them into vob files and then burned with nero. The movie played but there was no sound? Am I missing a step here, I read something about a new AC3 encoder on TMPGEnc website. Do I need to install that or something?

do you hear any audio if you play on your computer?

if yes, you might have to change your dvd player to output mpa/mp2 to pcm audio.

  3. Nope so sound. I just tried playing the mpeg2 dvd file on my computer and no sound. So for some reason TMPGEnc didn't include the sound or something. Any suggestions for that when I try again?

It's a good idea to convert the audio in AVI's to wav and select that as your audio source in TMPGEnc.
