VCD's freezing when played on my phillps CDI Player?

Hi to all,
I have a philips cdi player and use nero to burn my .mpg files in to vcd's which i then play on my cdi player.

Most of the vcd's i have burned play fine in my cdi player but i do also get the odd one of two films that freez around 5 seconds into the film when they are played on my philips cdi player.

Does any body have any idea as why some of my films freez when played in my cdi player but are ok when played on my PC.
Is there away to re-burn the vcd's, like take the .dat file off the vcd's and do something to it before re-burning it?
