  1. hey sup all. i am new to this dvd burnin scene. i have movies on my pc that i want to burn of onto a dvd disc. for example, i have a movie that is 699 mb in size. but when i go to my movie program to burn it off, Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 SE, it says that it is 6.0 gigabytes. I tried usin dvd shrink but it does not accept that file type because my movies are an .avi file extension. how can i get this down in size? my movies are good quality but i dont think that has anything to do with it. any suggestion or questions that i can answer to help u help me, post it plzzzzzzzzzz. thanks a lot

    Welcome on board!
    You do have some reading to do. This place is filled with articles and howtos on video conversion from any format to any format, so just to get started, what's important at this stage (for you) is to determine the from format (as DVD is your to format). Then find the correct guides for this kind of conversion, try them out (most involve freeware applications). If you get stuck on a step, just ask.

  3. ok. well i saw that some of u were talkin about dvd shrink. the problem is that rite now, my file format is .avi extensions. i need to get it into a format that dvd shrink will accept or i need another program that can shrink my videos in the.avi format so i can burn it onto a dvd disc. thanks

    No, the problem right now is that you don't have the slightest idea of what to do, and haven't read the guides I previously mentioned. (That's what I was kindly trying to make you realize yourself by reading some apropriate guides.) So, we've come to the conclusion that it's an AVI file you want to convert to a format suitable for DVD. If you read my previous post, you would come to the conclusion that it's AVI to DVD guides, howtos and articles that you ought to read. You will find that DVDShrink is not a tool used in that kind of conversion. It's for turning DVD9 into DVD5.
