I have a Bush DVD-2004 which is a great little machine (it's a first generation 2004 model which is both region free AND Macrovision free). The only problem with it is that whenever you put in a DVD it puts the subtitles on as default (with no obvious way of changing this to no as default through the set-up menus). Usually this isn't too bad since I can just hit the subtitle button and select none. However there seem to be certain DVD's (The Haunting and Titan A.E. to name but two) where this doesn't work and the subtitles refuse to go away - even if you set them to off on the options menu of the DVD itself. This can get quite frustrating as the subtitles are distracting. Has anybody else out there experienced this and got a solution, or at the very least an explanation, to offer? Thanks.
