problems with Cyberhome DVR-1500

I finally got some Ritek discs {DVD+R} from meritline.com and they actually work. Now my problem is that I am trying to put three movies on one disk from my own vcr tapes. I taped one movie and the title screen said that it has 73% free on the 6 hr mode. When I try to tape the second movie which is on another vcr tape, it will record for about 20 seconds and then the machine will stop it. Is there something else I should be doing that I don't know about? I am getting really frustrated with it. I have not finalized the disk yet either. Any help would be appreciated again! Thanks.

I have noticed on mine, if there is bad enough interference on the tape, that can cause it to stop, as if it was not receiving a video signal.

Try skipping some of the tape. Do this on a rewritable, so you don't keep losing DVD+R's, to see if that is what is happening.

Thank you... I will try this tomorrow and see if this is the problem. I did notice tracking problems at the beginning of the tape. I will post what happens.
