  1. I have DVD-lab and I completed my project and I burned it on a DVD+R. I played it in my DVD Player that plays DVD+R's and the video and audio is jumpy. The audio on the menus aren't jumpy, but when I select to play the video that audio and video are jumpy. Any advice? Thanks.

  2. I got that when I used the alternative engine to compile. The sound and the video were out of sync. I switched back to the main engine and it was fixed. Also you need to check the box in preferences that locks the audio to the video.

    Hope that helps a bit.

  3. What do you mean by "alternative engine to compile?" And then you switched back to the "main engine," I am not sure what you mean by that. I know what you mean by locking the video and audio. I did that.

  4. I just want to correct myself. I have not locked the audio and video. I was thinking of the another DVD Authoring program (Sonic DVD Producer). I don't know how to lock the audio and video on DVD-lab.

  5. What do you mean by "alternative engine to compile?"
    in the menu
    project->compile DVD->
under "multiplexer engine" you can choose either
    "main" or "alternative"

I don't know how to lock the audio and video on DVD-lab.
in that same menu click on

    "force audio for all movies"

I'm not sure that will work, it's just a guess. Good luck.

  6. I had it on "Main" and the Force "audio to all movies" was checked so I switched "Main" to "Alt." That made it worse when I played it in the DVD Player. I went to the DVD-lab support page and reported my problem, but I haven't gotten a response. I e-mailed them over a week ago. This the third DVD Authoring program I have used and this has turned out to be a waste of time also. Does anyone know of a DVD Authoring Program that is like DVD-lab and will burn DVD+R's. Thanks. And thanks for your help sharktacos.

Well I am not sure what is causing your audio problems, but as far as DVD Lab being compatible with making DVD+R’s. I have made quite a few home movie disks using DVD lab with a TDK 420n DVD+R burner with know problems.
One thing I do though is make sure that my video and audio files a 100% DVD compliant before putting them in DVD-lab.

    Good luck.

  8. I convert all my video files using Adobe Premiere 6.5. It comes out in a m2v form. Is that the wrong form? The audio of the video comes out in .wav, but it is converted into mp2 automatically by DVD-lab.

I use Vegas video and have always compressed my video in Mpeg2 format with the audio in the mpeg. Then I just insert the one file into DVD lab. I have never tried outputting the video and audio separately. Sorry I could not be more help.

You could try multiplexing your movie and audio to see if it helps. You can use IFOedit, TMPEGEnc or Adobe Premiere. In Premiere set the multiplexing in the encoder to DVD. You can try some short clips and try burning those.
