    I'm having some difficulty when converting a dvd to vcd if anyone can help. When I try to take a movie that I have on dvd and convert to vcd I can not play it on my sony dvp-s300, but works well on a apex ad-1200. When I take home video an burn to vcd they work great on both dvd players. Anyone have any idea why the dvd i converted works on one dvd player and not the others but home videos works on both.

    Did you look up your sony in the DVD players section, over there <-<-<-? If you read the comments you will likely find some clues as to why this older unit has troubles playing some disks.
