When I try to capture AVI using VirtualDub my screen turns black with a green stripe and then completely locks up my computer! (Like the board crashed or something!)

Does anybody know how to get VirtualDub to work? I want to enventually capture TV to uncompressed huffy codec.

I already downloaded and installed DX8 and the Capture Update, as well as the latest driver and software from ATI's website. Oh yeah, and I installed the wrapper ini.

Maybe someone who has a TV Wonder can tell me how they set it up.

    My system specs:
    Windows ME
    Athlon 800mhz (Slot A)
    Crucial 384MB pc133 RAM
    Asus K7V Motherboard
MSI Geforce 2 gts 32mb ddr
    IBM 15 GB 7200 rpm ata/66 & WD 60GB 7200 ata/66

The wrapper zip file is located here:
    http://faq.arstechnica.com/?i=4

Once you are at this site goto the "Capture Card Drivers" section and download "New WDM -> VfW driver wrapper".

This has the wrapper ini file (once you unzip) that will stop that "no device driver(VFW)" message. Just right-click the ini file and select install.

Now VDub will start but this is as far as I have gotten.

    Hope this helps! (SOTN rocks!!!)
