i suppose you could. i dont know how to do it. but you do know, that if you are converting 2 videos at one time, it will take twice as long

Yes you can but it is not the best way. It's better to use the batch encode feature and do one project after the other. Encoding is CPU intensive (almost 100% usage) so if you do two projects at once it can take more than twice as long. With batch encode you can save your settings and encode at a later time as well, i do mine overnight. Hope that helps.

  5. Doubt it. One session running (encoding) usually uses all available CPU resources. running another encode at the same time would at best split the
CPU resource and extend processing time accordingly.

(edit add) Saw your post on "running other things" and yup, that's possible to do - but your other activities just "steal" CPU resources away which just makes the encoding take longer.

You can do things while you encode but it just takes longer. If you're just surfing then no big deal.

Running 2 in parallel can easily be more than twice as
slow, compared to sequentially. The reason is that just
one doesn't have to seek the disk heads, especially
if the input and output are on different drives.
If you have to do it , set the priority of one very high and the
    other very low.
