  1. hi, im wanting to backup my X-Files seasons. Actually what im wanting to do is take specific episodes off different discs, and put them onto 1 DVD-r disc.
im using dvddycrypter, dvdshrink, and recordnow DX. ive done basic backups of movies, episodes etc, and would classify myself as a newbie. i dont care about menus, and plan on putting 3 episodes onto a disc. with the ending result hopefully being a set of consiracy theory episodes in order, minus all the other episodes, 3 episodes per disc. over 10 discs total. ive looked for guides, but havnt had much luck.. any of you try this using these tools? Thanks in advance!

Those sound OK to me. Just use the Re-Author part of DVD Shrink. I dont know about the burning program but if it works then keep it.

  3. im having problems, figuring out how to do it. i take 1st disc and dycrypt it, then take 2cd disc dycrypt it, now is where i run into confusion. i try and open files in dvd shrink, once ive chossen which episode, i compress it to allow for 2 more episodes. now i try and open files again, to add more episodes, and it erases my last structure. what do i need to do, is there another program that i need to use in between these steps? do i need to do every episode seperate, and then add the seperate video_ts files to the burn program?

Try DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 because it uses separate windows. You can open Disc 1 in one window, Disc 2 in another and then one more to Reauthor. You can drag and drop the different Title Sets onto the Reauthor Window. Hope that helps.
